Susan Trombley is an author of science-fiction and fantasy romance, and a prolific one, who has built a devoted following writing what she cheerfully calls stories with 'monsters and aliens' as the romantic heroes.
A lifelong reader who wanted to be a writer since primary school, and 'a gamer, a lover of all things dragon and space alien', she writes at a formidable pace - by her own account tens of thousands of words a month - and publishes independently. Her guiding principle, she says, is simply to 'write the kind of books I want to read'.
Her flagship is the Iriduan Test Subjects series, an action-driven alien romance in which the ruthless Iriduans engineer monstrous warriors from captured humans; it opens with The Scorpion's Mate. A lighter, more standalone-friendly spin-off, the Iriduan Universe Love Stories - among them My Foxy Mate - shares the same universe, while further series such as the post-apocalyptic Into the Dead Fall and the dragon-god fantasy Breath of the Divine range across reverse-harem, science fiction and myth.
She lives with her husband - whom she calls her 'white knight' - a daughter, and a household of cats and dogs.
