Honey Phillips is an American author of science-fiction and paranormal romance, and a remarkably prolific one, with a catalogue of well over a hundred steamy, good-humoured 'hot alien warrior' romances.
She likes to say she wrote and illustrated her first book at the age of five, adding that her writing has improved since then - her drawing, unfortunately, has not. That light touch runs through her work, which she cheerfully sums up as 'super sweet and utterly filthy': warm, escapist love stories, each following a different couple.
Her flagship is the long-running Alien Abduction series, in which Earth women are carried off by alien warriors and find, book by book, that abduction has its compensations. Around it she has built a whole galaxy of interconnected series - Folsom Planet Blues, set on an alien prison planet; Alien Invasion; Treasured by the Alien; Seven Brides for Seven Alien Brothers; and the Mars-set Cyborgs on Mars - with occasional detours into cosy monster romance in Fairhaven Falls.
Away from the keyboard she lists her pleasures as writing, reading, travelling, cooking and drinking champagne - 'though not necessarily in that order'.
