Edwin M. Griffiths is a self-published author of cosy LitRPG - low-stakes, game-flavoured fantasy that trades dungeon-crawling peril for craft, community and quiet progress.
He writes in the modern serial fashion, posting his stories chapter by chapter on Royal Road before collecting them for Amazon and audio, with some titles published through Aethon Books. His own bio is cheerfully unreliable - it claims he spends his spare time 'participating in the long-running tradition of alligator riding in the swamps of Florida' - and he sums up his output as 'weird litrpg books on RoyalRoad which sometimes get released on Amazon'.
His breakthrough is Newt and Demon, a seven-book cosy fantasy LitRPG. Its hero, Theo Spencer, is offered reincarnation as a quiet-living alchemist just as the apocalypse arrives, and wakes in a non-human body in the run-down town of Broken Tusk; what follows is town-building, a richly worked alchemy system and gentle slice-of-life progression, in the warm-hearted vein of Legends & Lattes. A second cosy series, Gladesbale Grove, has followed.
Publishing since 2024, he keeps the rest of his life private, sharing works in progress with readers through Patreon.
