• Arthur C. Clarke Award (Winners)

The Arthur C. Clarke Award is given each year to the best science fiction novel first published in the United Kingdom, chosen by a panel of judges. Founded in 1987 with a grant from Arthur C. Clarke himself, it is Britain’s leading science fiction prize, and its judges have often looked beyond the genre’s usual shelves - its first winner was Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale, and its winners since include China Miéville, who has taken it three times, Station Eleven and The Underground Railroad. This list collects the winning novels by year.
