Honor Harrington

David Weber's military science fiction follows Honor Harrington of the Royal Manticoran Navy over fourteen novels, from her first command in On Basilisk Station to admiral and duchess. Often described as Horatio Hornblower in space, it pairs fleet tactics with the politics of the long war between the Star Kingdom of Manticore and the People's Republic of Haven. The main series is best read in publication order. It has also grown a wider 'Honorverse' of spin-off series and anthologies, including Saganami Island, Crown of Slaves and Manticore Ascendant.
