We've added a reading activity heatmap - one of those GitHub contribution graph things, but for reading.
Every time you log progress, a dot fills in. More pages, a darker dot. Stick with it for a year and you've got a picture of your reading life.
The obvious stuff: do you read more at weekends? Is there a summer slump? That fortnight in August where you didn't touch a book - holiday, or just life getting in the way?
But also the less obvious: maybe you're more consistent than you thought. Maybe Fridays are dead but Sundays are golden. The data's been there all along, just not visible.
Dashboard widget - shows the last few months, configurable from 2 to 12 depending on how much screen space you want to give it.
Stats page - the full year, plus your streak, longest streak, pages this week/month/year, and when you tend to read most.
This is part of what we talked about in the reading stats post - building a tracker that tells you something useful about how you read, not just how many books you've ticked off.
More to come: pace by genre, DNF patterns, that sort of thing.
Your heatmap's waiting at bookassembly.co.uk/dashboard/stats. What patterns show up?
