Reading Goals
Set an annual reading target you can actually feel. Book Assembly tracks your progress against any combination of books, pages, or audiobook listening time, with a gentle "ahead of pace" or "behind pace" line that only appears when it is meaningful.
Pick any combination
Set a target for books finished, pages read, or audiobook minutes listened, or all three. Leave a field blank to skip it. Targets live in your settings at Dashboard → Preferences → Reading Goals and you can change them whenever you like.
See your progress at a glance
The Goals page (Dashboard → Goals) shows a hand-drawn progress ring for each active target, with the current value, your target, and the percentage you are through. Hit your goal and the ring turns green and switches to a "Goal hit, N ahead" celebration line. The ring caps at 100% visually even when you overshoot, so it never looks broken.
Pace that does not nag
Most book trackers will tell you you are behind in early January, when there is no way to be on pace yet. Book Assembly keeps quiet until you are at least two weeks into the year, and even then only mentions pace when you are noticeably ahead or behind (more than 5% of the target away). The point is to motivate, not to shame.
Optional daily nudge
If you find daily targets motivating, you can turn on a daily nudge with a pages-per-day or minutes-per-day target. It is off by default. Missing a daily target never affects your annual goal or your streak; it only changes a little progress bar on the dashboard widget.
Streak rules in your hands
Streaks already give you until the end of the day to keep them alive, so a late-evening log counts. If you want a little more forgiveness, switch on "Allow one rest day per week" in the Reading Goals settings and one missed day per rolling 7-day window will not break your streak. The streak tiles on the dashboard and stats page show a small ? icon that explains your current rules.
Dashboard widget
There is an optional Reading Goals widget for your home dashboard. Off by default - turn it on in Dashboard → Preferences → Widgets. It shows a compact progress bar per active annual target with the same pace text as the full page, and links through to the Goals page when you want the full view.
